Certification Information
South Carolina educator certificates are issued to eligible individuals by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE).
There are ways to become certified through certification pathways. Jasper County Schools accepts certifications from alternative certification programs.
To apply for South Carolina educator certification through the South Carolina Department of Education, the SCDE will be able to assist you with any questions you may have. All teachers must apply to the SCDE and clear the JCSD pre-employment process before an offer is made.
