JCSD Seeks Exceptional Leaders!
The application and hiring process for Jasper County Schools has three major steps - application, interview, and onboarding.
STEP ONE: APPLICATION PROCESS
To be considered for any position vacancy, applicants must complete the online application. Please note that emails and phone calls are not required and do not replace the submission of an online application.
STEP TWO: INTERVIEW PROCESS
Hiring managers are immediately notified of submitted applications and have access to submitted applications for one year. Interviews are scheduled as submitted applications are considered. The interview process includes both candidate and reference interviews.
STEP THREE: ONBOARDING
Once recommended by a hiring manager, candidates are contacted by the Human Resources team to complete the pre-employment, employment agreement, and orientation processes.
International Teachers: Please note that the district does hire international teachers. Once recommended for hire, the international pathways (J1Visa, H1BVisa, etc.) will be discussed. PERM status is not offered to new employee candidates.

- Sign On Bonus for new teachers - $2,000
- Sign On Bonus for Critical Need Area teachers - $2,500
- Sign On Bonus for Bus Drivers with CDL - $1,000
- Mileage Stipend (Tiers for Building-level certified persons based on distance) - $2,000 - $6,000
- Attendance Stipend (tiers based on 98%-100%) - $1,000 - $2,000
- Student Academic Performance Stipend (based on criteria) - Up to $1,500
*Disbursement information and criteria are shared and explained in writing with all JCSD employees.
