Jasper County School District is preparing to administer the second iReady Diagnostic assessment for the 2023-2024 academic school year. Our schools use iReady data to make informed decisions on what is needed to push scholars to meet or beat their growth goals. Watch this presentation to get informed!

we are getting pumped up for Success hello Jasper County School District my name is Pamela Sims director of Early Learning elementary and diversity today we're going to talk about how we are getting pumped up for success as we prepare and administer the second i-Ready diagnostic assessment for the 20 23 2020 academic school year in this video I will talk about what students should do when they take the i-Ready reading and math diagnostic assessment the i-Ready diagnostic checklist and the competitive challenges we have to motivate our students to meet or beat their stretch growth the diagnostic assessment schedule and our plan to ensure our students are ready for grades kindergarten through 8th grade what should you do is adaptive you should try your best but know that you will get questions you don't know how to answer juicy questions you won't know how to answer because you have not learned them yet that is okay helpful tips are student she used when they are taking the i-Ready diagnostic reading and or math assessment do not rush take your time and do not rush but do not spend too much time on any one question read carefully read each passage and question and or answer Choice very carefully try your best if you get a question you have not learned yet try your best double check your answers check your work before going on to the next question reread your passages reread the passage when it is necessary use a pencil and paper for math problems show your work on your paper for every single problem District school challenges are calling upon every school teacher and students to bring their A-game and give their absolute best on the upcoming i-Ready diagnostic assessment this is your chance to Showcase your skills knowledge and dedication to learning Embrace The Challenge and show everyone that you're capable of achieving no flex challenge you should know red or yellow flags slow down and take your time needed or Beat It meet or beat your last known score or the class average early achiever award a student who perform at or above grade level the first time when do jcsd kindergarten through eighth-grade students take the i-Ready diagnostic reading and math assessment I will share with you the testing window for each Administration each school would then decide when they plan to administer the assessment within the testing window August 7th through the we tested each of our students to see what you know November 6th through the 30th we will see how much progress our students has made to celebrate what students have learned know the progress to where's the goals and get new lessons that are just right for you and learn how much students need to know before the end of the year March 11th through the 28th we will see how much progress our students have made to celebrate what students have learned and to know the progress toward the goals April 8th through the 30th schools will provide some intensive intervention for students prior to SC ready which is our state assessment remember the diagnostic reading and math assessments are important because it helps you and your teachers understand what you know and what you to learn it makes the best use of your learning time it provides you the opportunity to show what you know our plan after the diagnostic assessment already creates a special report for you your teacher and your family after the diagnostic assessment we can review your results and goals and it will automatically generate a customized personalized learning path for students once you have been assigned your personalized learning path already can be conveniently access at school and at home this is for all students kindergarten through 8th grade are you ready are you ready so the question is are you ready for our ready and what the responding yes throughout the district I hear those yes is out there we are ready are ready get ready in the famous words of Johnny Harrington better known as Jay fever the announcer on Bring it on with the dancing dolls Jasper County School District let's get it let's go thank you so much for your time today and I look forward to seeing and hearing how you have accepted the district challenge to get pumped up for success
