okay good morning everyone thank you for coming so I said okay my name is Stasia ugly I'm a junior camp counselor here I still get comfortable position it's about to go down sit back relax and enjoy yourself pepper go hard over the past four weeks to prepare for our very first theme showcase our goal for this steenkamp was to ensure that we engage students we make sure that our students had an opportunity to be engaged from the very beginning of the day to the end of the day and we did that by making sure that we included the art instead our students were able to use literacy strategies and the RC create drama performances so one of the performances that you will see today is our reenacting The Three Little Pigs Mubarak students are older students had the opportunity to create their own stage play by reenacting the gingerbread man so instead of the gingerbread man you'll see the ginger cookies they practice reading not only literature but also the music also utilize fractions by subdividing notes as they practice music in their performance today several of our students had the opportunity to use different instruments to create music and read music we had a very successful first scene showcase we had a very successful steam camp and we are so thankful to our partners at in grazing creative minds arcs grow and the South Carolina Department of Education for a providing at the fun that we need to support these program we could not have done this without our donations are Partners them coming in and visiting with us every single day and we truly appreciate it our students have had the opportunity of a lifetime this is an opportunity that they not get every summer and we are so thankful to have had this opportunity for our students here in Jackson County
