greetings to the Jasper County School District family welcome back to a new year that is bound to be filled with promise potential and persistent as I begin my stuff here with you I am grateful to have each of you with me last year our message during our convocation what's to get uncomfortable because getting uncomfortable challenges the status quo and allows you go to the next level because it forces you to change it is with great pleasure that I share our district-wide 2019-2020 academic Focus goals with each of you as we begin this year together remind me Student Center and future-focused our Focus goals are as follows cultivating a positive culture and climate providing ongoing professional development via the center for instructional quality executing the jcsd instructional framework and multi-tiered support system effectively establishing professional learning communities and data teams with the Bella and activator walls continuing to Sam and sting initiative in the spirit of this year's theme student-centered future Focus I am also excited about our new initiatives for this year effective implementation of Jace get the instructional framework jcsd multi-tiered support systems open court Alek math Achieve3000 infusing Kagan structures to increase academic achievement advancement via determination data teams and data wall positive behavior intervention support professional learning communities technology proficiency and continuous assessment it is no secret that great School are led by great leaders we are so excited about our school level leadership team that are comprised of leaders who have potential a vision are people oriented and possess a skill set to turn at risk old I am also going through this to know that we have schools that are sad with professional Educators who are committed dedicated and willing to teach at a high-level everyday I have reviewed our school and District y preliminary summative data and our students performance on SC ready SB past rlc's when and act the data is still in bar go there for it cannot be released at this time but i principles in our district level leadership team what analyzed are they to buy school by grade level student and teacher performance will also be a strong part of what we are analyzing I am committed to continuing to we Jasper County School District and to ensure that our district is no longer ranked in the bottom quartile of the state also committed to ensuring that our students are well epidemically sound and not only excellent athlete and that we employ and retain committed staff and professional Educators in every classroom office cafeteria and at the district level who support teaching and learning with improve student outcome Safety 1st and a culture of cleanliness and collaboration hey guys we welcome you back another school year 2019-2020 we are student-centered future-focused
