Jasper County School District is closely monitoring another winter weather system forecasted to impact our region this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, there is increasing confidence in unseasonably cold temperatures, strong winds, and the potential for accumulating snowfall across portions of the area.

The primary period of concern is Saturday afternoon, January 31, through midday Sunday, February 1, 2026, when winter weather impacts and dangerously low wind chills may occur. We will continue to monitor conditions closely in coordination with Emergency Management and the National Weather Service.

An update regarding the status of school operations for Monday, February 2, 2026, will be communicated later this weekend as forecast details become clearer.

We want to thank Bluffton Self Help for their generous donation of toys to Jasper County School District.

Their support will have a meaningful impact on our youngest learners as we accomplish our mission to finish strong this school year.

The toys will be used as incentives for students in kindergarten through third grade to encourage regular school attendance and to recognize academic growth and achievement. Initiatives like this help motivate our students and reinforce positive habits that support long-term success.

Our recent Celebration of Student Achievement was a tremendous success, with a fantastic turnout at both sessions. The Ridgeland session was standing room only, a powerful reminder of how deeply our community supports our students and schools.
