Project Literacy

The Jasper County School District strives to establish partnerships with parents and community organizations in order to support student learning. Strong communication is fundamental to this partnership and to building a sense of community between home and school. In an effort to promote literacy and engagement amongst all stakeholders, the Jasper County School District Office of Academics and Federal Programs have created Project Literacy.

The goal of Project Literacy is to provide monthly communication that will include additional reading supports and strategies that can be done at home in order to promote literacy. Literacy may start with words and reading, but that's not where it ends. Over the next few months, as part of Project Literacy, JCSD will work to put literacy within everyone's reach. We will send out monthly tips that can be implemented in the car, during meals, while shopping, etc.
