Parent and Family Engagement
The Jasper County School District strives to establish partnerships with parents and community organizations in order to support student learning. Strong communication is fundamental to this partnership and to building a sense of community between home and school. In an effort to promote literacy and engagement amongst all stakeholders, the Jasper County School District Office of Federal Programs will renew a focus on literacy and numeracy with plans to initiate our Parent University for the 2025-2026 school year.
The goal of the Parent University is to provide monthly workshops, activities, and communication that will include additional reading and math supports and strategies that can be done at home to promote literacy and numeracy. Our new J-FACE Coordinator and District Bilingual Parent Specialist along with school-based Parent Liaisons will work to put literacy and numeracy within everyone's reach. We will send out monthly tips that can be implemented in the car, during meals, while shopping, etc.
