Students in Ms. Kasarda’s class recently took on a special “Challenge Accepted” activity — and they rose to the occasion! The task: use all six new vocabulary words in one short paragraph that made sense and demonstrated understanding.

Nine students accepted the challenge and proudly presented their creative paragraphs to their classmates. 👏

Jasper County School District extends a heartfelt thank you to all the community members, parents, school leaders, and local officials who joined us for the Stakeholder Strategic Planning Workshop sessions.

The events were both productive and inspiring as we worked together to shape the future of education in Jasper County.

Attendees were divided into small groups, with six tables arranged so that each school could host a small audience of participants. Guests received an overview of each school’s state assessment scores and other key data from the state.

Additional tables were hosted by our District Office and Capital Projects teams, where attendees had the opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and engage directly with district experts in a small-group setting.

Together, we are One Jasper, One Goal — ensuring success for every student scholar!

Jasper County School District invites community members, parents, school leaders, and local officials to participate in a Community-Wide Strategic Planning Workshop with Interim Superintendent Dr. Laura Hickson and district leaders on Monday, November 3, 2025.

This interactive event will bring us together to review data, share goals, and collaborate on shaping the future of education in Jasper County.

Today, district leaders, staff, and community members joined students at Hardeeville Elementary School and Ridgeland Elementary School to celebrate the joy of reading! Leaders read to K–2 classrooms, shared their favorite stories, and inspired our youngest scholars to fall in love with books.

This special day kicks off our new districtwide literacy movement — One Jasper Reads: 30 for 30!
We’re challenging everyone across Jasper County to read 30 minutes during the school day and 30 minutes outside of school each day.

Together, we’re building a stronger culture of literacy — one page at a time. 💪📖
