Jasper County School District was notified today, January 11, 2022, of a third confirmed positive COVID-19 case in a specific class. Contact tracing is underway; however, the decision has been made to close the specified class at HES.

January 1, 2022 (Jasper County, S.C.) - Following participation in a tournament this past week (December 28, 29 and 30), one of the players on our girls’ varsity basketball team has tested positive for COVID.

Those associated with the team are following the applicable CDC protocols at this time; all will be tested at five (5) days (Tuesday, January 4) - again, per protocol.

Anyone who has been in contact with team members or coaching staff is advised to contact our COVID nursing staff at our High School testing site Monday, January 3, 2022 for follow-up guidance.

Further, the necessary notification has been made with the other teams who participated in the tournament.
