Beginning January 29, 2026, students will receive:

Today, December 3rd, 2025, Gunnery Sergeant Anthony Cuevas completed his last inspection as a Marine Corps JROTC Instructor due to his scheduled retirement on December 19th, 2025. Best known as "Gunny" or "Mr. Gunny" by many, Gunny Cuevas has dedicated 20 years of service to his country in the United States Marine Corps and then over 22 years to the community of Jasper County as a MCJROTC Instructor. He has had a profound impact on multiple generations and will truly be missed by all.

Jasper County School District is proud to celebrate three outstanding educators who were selected as recipients of this year’s Bright Ideas Grants. These grants support innovative, creative classroom projects that go above and beyond traditional school resources — and our teachers certainly delivered!

Session #2 of our Immigrant/Hispanic Parent Professional Development series was a huge success! We had a full house at every session, and we are incredibly grateful to all the parents who joined us for our workshop on vocabulary acquisition and conversational skills.

Your participation, engagement, and enthusiasm made this session truly special. Parents practiced English communication skills, learned strategies to support their children, and strengthened their ability to advocate for their students’ success.

LowCountry Community Church in Bluffton, SC partnered with Jasper County School District to support our wonderful families this holiday season—and their generosity was remarkable. The church donated 285 Thanksgiving boxes, each filled to the brim with everything needed for a delicious holiday meal.

We are deeply grateful to LowCountry Community Church for going above and beyond for our students and families. Their kindness reflects the true spirit of the season.

A special thank you to the church members who assisted with deliveries and to our Hardeeville students who helped secure and prepare the food packages. Boxes were delivered to our Ridgeland campus, Hardeeville campus, and JCAP to ensure families across the district were supported.
