Each school created a unique program to pay tribute to veterans; the program included presentations such as veteran guest speakers, band and chorus musical selections, poems, video presentations, special recognition and more.
A few schools included a question and answer session to allow students to interact with guest veterans. Students also conducted interviews with Veterans in Jasper County as well as those who serve in the district.
Several branches of service were represented at each school, to include JCSD employees, volunteers, board members, county council members, stakeholders, and supporters of the district.
Attendees felt honored, and participants were thrilled as this was the first Veterans Day program conducted in the district to include local veterans, employees, students, parents, and stakeholders.
Special thanks to all Veterans for your service from Superintendent Donald Andrews and the Board of Education.
