Important Safety Message from Jasper County School District

Dear Jasper County School District Families,
I want to inform you of a shooting that occurred in the community near our Hardeeville schools during last night's football game. Although the incident occurred outside our school campuses and may have been isolated, we recognize that an incident like this raises concerns among our families and community, especially when it occurs near our schools.
The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families remain our highest priority.
Out of an abundance of caution, Jasper County School District will coordinate closely with local law enforcement, review our existing safety protocols, and assess the need for additional security measures on Monday and throughout the upcoming week as needed. We will take the necessary precautions to ensure that our school campuses remain safe and secure environments for teaching and learning.
We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate any additional information or safety updates as they become available.
We ask our families to remain vigilant and report any safety concerns to school administrators or local law enforcement. Thank you for your continued trust, cooperation, and partnership as we work together to protect our students and school community.
Additionally, if your child needs someone to talk to, please encourage them to seek help. Our student services team is available to assist.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Public Information Officer; his contact information is listed below.
