Student Spotlight: Meet Dayanara Vasquez, Dual Enrollment Scholar

Congratulations to Dayanara Vasquez, a senior at HJSHS. Dayanara, who was nominated by Dr. Cooper, the Dean of Arts and Science at TCL, received the Young Achiever Award on April 30th, presented by TCL's Vice President for Student Success, Allison Canning. She has demonstrated leadership in both her school and local community and has excelled academically at both the high school and collegiate levels. She is a determined young lady who always strives for excellence. Dayanara is self-driven, motivated, and highly reflective of her actions, showcasing an unwavering determination for success. Additionally, she is very respectful toward her peers and adults. She serves as a role model for her peers by pursuing an associate degree in Arts and Science, an associate degree in Liberal Arts, and several academic certificates while completing her high school requirements. This young lady has shown commitment, leadership, honor, and discipline as she sets a high standard for others to embrace. We are extremely proud of this JCSD scholar and her academic achievements.
