Project Reach Out

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with JCSD on ‘Project Reach Out’ to provide more opportunities for selected youth in the county. Students participating in ‘Project Reach Out’ were selected by school officials and Sheriff's officers. Children selected for this initiative will be participating in activities coordinated by the program managers.

The program will expose the selected young people to team building activities. There is no cost to the students for participation in the program. The initiative is funded by community donations and sponsors.

"Special thanks to Ridgeland Campus School Resource Officer Sergeant Gary Sons for leading this initiative. His dedication to developing meaningful relationships with our students is inspiring.

Our young people need all of the support from the community that they can get. It takes a village to promote positive outcomes for our children. I hope to see more people step-up to enable folks to provide bridge-building opportunities like this because, in the very near future, these young people will be the foundation of what makes Jasper County a great place to live, work and invest."
