Students in Ms. Kasarda’s class recently took on a special “Challenge Accepted” activity — and they rose to the occasion! The task: use all six new vocabulary words in one short paragraph that made sense and demonstrated understanding.
Nine students accepted the challenge and proudly presented their creative paragraphs to their classmates. 👏
Check out the photos of these talented scholars presenting their work — and don’t miss the example paragraph where the vocabulary words are highlighted!
We’re so proud of their hard work, confidence, and creativity. Way to go, students — you truly showed what it means to rise to the challenge! 🌟
Join the Jasper County School District in building a culture of reading across our community!
We’re challenging students, staff, parents, and community members to commit to reading: ✅ 30 minutes during the school day ✅ 30 minutes outside of school
Reading just 30 minutes a day builds stronger readers, boosts comprehension, and strengthens the brain! 💪

Jasper County School District extends a heartfelt thank you to all the community members, parents, school leaders, and local officials who joined us for the Stakeholder Strategic Planning Workshop sessions.
The events were both productive and inspiring as we worked together to shape the future of education in Jasper County.
Attendees were divided into small groups, with six tables arranged so that each school could host a small audience of participants. Guests received an overview of each school’s state assessment scores and other key data from the state.
Additional tables were hosted by our District Office and Capital Projects teams, where attendees had the opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and engage directly with district experts in a small-group setting.
Together, we are One Jasper, One Goal — ensuring success for every student scholar!

Our team has been busy engaging students in meaningful activities that promote unity, kindness, and healthy lifestyles.
The week kicked off on October 22 with Unity Day, a national observance dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Students and staff proudly wore orange shirts to stand together against bullying and to celebrate the power of unity within the school community.
Following Unity Day, we launched Red Ribbon Week on October 23, continuing through October 31. Students participated in a variety of engaging activities focused on goal setting, creativity, and education, including a door-decorating contest and discussions on the history and importance of Red Ribbon Week.
Red Ribbon Week, which began in 1985 to honor DEA Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, serves as a national campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of drug, tobacco, and alcohol use. The initiative encourages youth across the country to commit to a drug-free and violence-free lifestyle.
Through these events, students demonstrated leadership, school pride, and a growing understanding of the importance of making positive choices. The program continues to focus on creating a supportive environment where every student can learn, grow, and succeed.
