good morning I'm Dr beatrich masic director of accountability assessment and professional development for Jasper County Schools today we will be discussing the spring and end of the year I ready data for our elementary and our middle schools for spring 25 I ready we're going to start with the reading scores and if you look at this information the fall diagnostic data is dis played at the bottom with the spring diagnostic results at the top for reading overall in the district our school increased from 11% of students being at or above grade level up to 28 8% showing significant growth in that area and we also noticed the decrease in the number of students who were performing 3 or more grade levels behind from 36% to 28% if we look at this information by grade level we will notice that third grade had the greatest amount of growth and we see a 16% increase in the number of students performing at or above grade level for third grade while all of our grade bands show an increase in the number of students performing at or above grade level when we get to our Middle grades the greatest growth is shown in our eighth grade students that displayed a 17% increase in the number of students performing at or above grade level for math the information is displayed in the same way and overall the district increased from a 7% of students performing at or above grade level to 26% of students performing at or above grade level we also can see a significant reduction in the number of students performing below grade level and moving into that approaching category which increase from 37 to 40% the information being displayed by grade level we also see a significant increase in the number of students performing at our grade level for third grade as well as in fifth grade third grade the number of students performing 3 or more grades behind decrease from 37% to 14% as well as in fifth grade the number reduced from 43% to 26% looking at our middle-grades we also see significant increases in our eighth grade where the number of students performing at or above grade level increased drastically from fall to the spring and the number of students that were performing below grade level decreased um from 55% to 35% for those who were 3 or more grade levels behind
