greetings in Jasper County School District family our community and our stakeholders it is a pleasurable moment to be back with you again as we promised on last week that we would to share update as it change to school opening how we're doing that safely as a school district and how we're working with our medical advice or doctor Jim Gault who is joining me today again in another broadcast to provide update I am a I bet some of you did send questions regarding our last I'm presentation on via Facebook I have followed up with a public information officer mr. Travis Washington who has informed me of those questions and we will answer those questions again and today got to go in and I are also discussing whether or not and how to invite a few of our stakeholders and parents who may have questions to one of these sessions so that we can answer any question and provide again the reliability and validity of what we're saying to you so that you can again understand in depth of what is out there and how we at The District in addressing what we're dealing with as again a nation of community and a school district I want to begin by saying before I turn it over to doctor called met as I sent previously before it is imperative that we work collaboratively together through this Friday we are resilient and we have proven that together we can accomplish so much and we've done that successfully but I want to commend each of you for partnering with us as a community as a school district and its individual ensure that we are doing what we can within our powers so that we can again bring our students back bring our Scholars back to school every day 5 days a week and do that is Faithfully as possible. is going to talk with you about where we are and what we are doing and what we can do to continue to make sure that we're keeping our faculty and staff as well as our students safe which in turn will keep you safe as well as a community and so I also want to say that there's no better place for our students to be except with us in school and so I do want to again please to you and again record and and encourage you to listen to the broadcast and if you have any questions please reach out to me or one of my staff members in regards to questions that you may have about safely transitioning back to school full-time we will all or 5 days a week Monday through Friday and in fact we are starting school with our pre-k through 8th grade next Monday next Monday is the first day for all of our pre-k through 8th grade students and so we want to make sure that questions that you may have we are able to answer those questions for you and within a surety that you understand again your child safety with us I'm Doctor God I do want to turn it over to you and Donna. Anderson I'm is virtual school and option and there is an option on our website or virtual school we are in approve or actual School flower Virtual Academy has been approved by the state of South Carolina and if you log into the state's website you'll see are on school listed they are Jasper County School District for Virtual Academy on a Virtual Academy is not what it 5 during a pandemic it is a rigorous again design for that reason because our students were in the Virtual Academy go through an application process and they are accepted into the Virtual Academy and again the rigor kind that is that you are studious enough to handle again a virtual component components and not being in a face-to-face we employed all of our students to be face-to-face with those students who desire and Grace there 12th grade and in the parents decide and that is an option that they would like to take part in I'm I do believe there's a deadline for the application to be sitting in it for you to go to the vetting process and to the interview and accept it and for the data I'm at we can do research to see how you perform previously will be taken into account and so it's just not the one in application and you're automatically accept it is a process of acceptance and not all that complete the application process will be accepted but our virtual on Academy that we do have in our district is approved by the state of South Carolina and we are operating the Virtual Academy for those individuals and some have already been accepted into the Virtual Academy so that question has been answered and those are all the questions that I did receive I'm from my public information officer from the previous broadcast I would encourage each of you again to stay tuned to our broadcast get back to information login to ww.w. jcsd.net again that website is www.jjc.edu.
