my name is Randy Jackson director Jackson County Career & Technology Center I'm here to wear for you so I would still night of innovation I'm here to offer you an opportunity to cry wonderful facility and lick it out with Nana passwords that wonderful instructor we often Logistics aerospace engineering RIT computer repair cybersecurity Horticulture we all saw for healthcare food and consumer science business administration and support we want you to be a part of our fate team the health science pathway is geared towards those students who have an interest and to help science anywhere in the health science field it could be a doctor it could be a nurse some of my students right now want to be veterinarian some of them want to be radiologist so it really doesn't matter we cover all kinds of different careers and all kinds of dip places you could work my current students are right now getting OSHA certified training for they'll get their certification in a few weeks they will get first aid and CPR trained and then the angle is for them to graduate as a certified nurse assistant this is our current laugh we will have eight beds we will have all kinds of different equipment and hear anything from learning how to do blood pressures learning how to do heart rate he will also teach you about how to actually care for a patient so I look forward to meeting you guys and I hope you will come be a part of my program everyone my name is mr. Welcome to the transportation distribution and Logistics over here at ridgeland-hardeeville high school on Logistics is an ever-changing industry and definitely has a lot of potential for employment in the future regardless of economic conditions so please join me over here in our pathway we're going to win a lot guys it's a very engaging interactive curriculum that involves a lot of project-based learning guys so we're going to learn a little bit about Inventory management Warehouse kind of distribution as well as layout and then also about the differences between supply chain and Logistics do as you can see right here it is a four-course program it's going to take about two years to complete guys as you can see there are four courses introduction to Logistics functional areas in logistics Global Logistics management as well as Logistics and supply chain there are certifications that can be earned at our pathway those included forklift operator certification as well as its dvl which is going to be the commercial driver's license or certification these are great opportunities guy careers in definitely can lead to a lot of potential in the future so let's take a look right now at this Valerie that were talking about self as we can see guys we have 47,000 for the average CDL truck driver job in South Carolina the forklift operators going to be in about 35 and then the warehouse associate is just above 31000 Logistics guys as a field that if you put the hard work in D salary can grow really really fast example of that and I'm definitely help you guys with a lot of the real life experience that I've learned in my part still has become a part of the guys I'm super anxious to see everybody very excited and also had know that a lot of people have great potential to make a lot of changes over here in this area ridgeland-hardeeville high school thank you so much guys and have a fantastic day and adduction Horticultural landscape Golf Course technology and Turf & Lawn management upon completion you can receive a certification in plant science and using that knowledge in the greenhouse around this time next the greenhouse to be full of your hard work behind me to see the Golf Course located behind ridgeland-hardeeville High School K-8 center Golf Course technology landscape technology and what they learned in the classroom out here will cover design installation construction equipment and maintenance of each course I have been working closely with surrounding golf courses to provide more exclusive Hands-On training as well as job opportunities and internships for those students who are interested if this play something that you'd enjoy plays a role in the Horticulture pathway today my name is Lucy mechanic and I am one of the information technology cost of teachers here at the new Jasper County K-8 center my pathway is information it support and services so what do we do in this pathway we install and repair Computing devices we install Hardware peripheral and which include your input testing output and storage devices we also installed system and application software because without them your Computing devices will not work the certification for computer repair and service include and test out currently we are using testout simulation in this virtual environment because it allows students to repair and install hardware and software and virtually can I pathway computer repair and services just like a plumber we need to have our toolkit and these are some of the tools that you will be using to work safely around computer and if you would just view some of the that we will be using the all of these students will have their individual toolkit so that they will be able to repair any issues that the computer may have what I am going to still share is there a simulation that we are currently using which is passed out passed out is the virtual simulation program that we are currently using in this virtual environment so that I'll students can actually install and repair computers said the first simulation that we have here suppose that you are it administrator for a small corporate Network and you just received a new computer and you need to set it up in your office so they went have the shelves where they have all the peripheral devices that you would need to install which includes the printer that have the outlets the monitors your input devices as well as all the cables that you need to install the computer and I believe that this is a wonderful simulation so that when you when we get face-to-face and you actually putting a computer together would not have any issues and this is our test. Simulation I would like to thank Jasper County for offering this pathway information support and services student here in Jasper County so that they can become an integral part of the workforce become High I'm a need a job and I am the facilitator of the cybersecurity pathways here at jcsd have you ever been a victim of email or a text message that said that you won a prize and it had a strange by learning about cybersecurity what is cyber security cyber security is the protection against cyber crime and unauthorized electronic data and this could very well be over a network or computer or that have to be taken be a part of this pathway integrated business applications administrative support technology are the two mandatory courses and of course you have a choice of Entrepreneurship and accounting as the optional classes in this pathway you have an opportunity to handle various types of equipment the poster maker is one of the most fun types of machine that will be used in administrative support services Dennis what have the opportunity to be creative and make any posters that can advertise their skills and that best rated Support Services pathway you will have an opportunity to make a lucrative salary they can range from the bottom 50,000 on up depending on your level of education and experience administrative support services is a wonderful Pathway to choose Robinson and I'm your aerospace engineering instructor today I'm going to take you through what we do here in our Aerospace class have the opportunity to work with aircraft Aviation science and designing aircraft hearts and our mission is to create these parts so that we can apply them to an aircraft we with the engineering design process where we identify the problem look for criteria and constraints and then we experiment after analyzing our data we are here to make sure that you can apply the air Edina Aviation Mission so that we can create other aircraft come along and I'll show you what we do our students have the opportunity to visit the airport here in Ridgeland where they get to work with a pilot identifying Parts on the aircraft they get to visit sit in the plain talk about the part and also analyze different areas in the airport here you see us working on it putting together the projects that we have using are Catskills so that we can provide all of our skills in
