Student Dress Code
Purpose: To establish the basic structure for determining dress standards for students.
Students are required to dress and groom themselves in neat, decent and non-disruptive ways. The district prohibits anything directly intended to disrupt a calm, orderly and efficient educational environment. This includes, but is not limited to, clothing which does the following.
1. when taken as a whole is obscene, vulgar or indecent 2. has profane or indecent language 3.advocates, exhibits or glorifies the use of illegal drugs 4. promotes the consumption of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products 5.is offensive in a way which is likely to lead to disorder 6. is defamatory 7.contains graphics or wording that may be disruptive or inappropriate for the school setting
Administrators will ask students in violation of this policy to correct the violation. Failure to correct the violation or intentional repetition of the violation will be considered a Code of Conduct offense.
