The Jasper County School District is working on several capital projects. This video provides a quick update on these projects. ARP ESSER III COVID relief funds paid for the JCAP demolition and modular classroom projects. The sports facility improvements to the Ridgeland campus are funded by the remaining funds from the one-cent penny sales tax bond referendum passed in the early 2000s.

hi my name is Ben Castillo I am a project manager with SSE report out all the Jasper County School District capital projects first project is RJ cat modular at R4 56 Grace Highway location we recently completed our installation understand a little fire life safety system and also completed a 30 amp installation there in the it room for communications we do have an inspection sweet with our third-party inspector and our architect inspector week of the 11th once that is completed we are going we are sitting in a or scheduling a meeting for the following week with our OSF representative Molly fungi come and give us our final inspection once that is completed we will have to wait about two to three weeks maybe four weeks on our she took it of occupancy our next project is r.j. kept undulation our project is nearly complete we have 5% of the project completed they were grading this week we have our son settle engineer coming out tomorrow to complete the punch list sign off on it and then we begin hydroseeding in approximately three weeks after this we will have the state come back out take a look at the hydroseed and make sure that this he had taken for this location in our project for the demolition we've also added some shirt trees right along that Grace Highway near the sidewalk do some Shrubbery on the interior fencing this is more for a decorative as the town of Ridge and required and we have a meeting scheduled with the town of Ridgeland next week to walk this area and get sign off on this project our next piece is original flag design we met with our architect or civil engineer and other mechanical engineers last week to review the final completion of our CDs which is our construction documents we are happy to report this week we are sending that to the Allstate facilities for review once we get the review back we will be able to go out for RFP public bid in our project for the original campus location Russell minnieweather consultant for a local golf course Dr Galt to review the field The netting that they're going to be sponsoring any additional pieces of didn't want to add to this now what are the we will be talking about is a real handling nation that you see on your screen those are the zones as far as what the  we could actually build on me as far as going to tie the others though what satellite would be what they considered Zone d which is the airport which is right across the street from our reasoning campus location we have had a aeronautical study this is our second one and we just got the results back this week saying that it was approved to continue moving with the direction as far as adding some additional if funny was provided thanks buddy I like to talk about is our hardy oak campus tennis courts we did receive a grant of $30,000 from the USTA that was within this region to do some repairs and first scene of the tennis courts were also going to be installing a sidewalk ADA Compliant from the road leading into the tennis courts that was a requirement from the USTA in order to complete this brand we are scheduled to begin the week March 11th for this project and we're looking at it to week timeline from start to completion thank you for this opportunity presented our capital projects plan
