Elementary Overview

Third through Fifth Grade

All registrations for third, fourth and fifth-grade students take place at the elementary school. You may register at the front office with the Student Data Clerk or ask for the Guidance Counselor.

Jasper County School District provides a stimulating learning environment for all students. Each staff member is committed to students learning and connects real world to text for learning experiences. From an unknown author, “The best teachers teach from the heart not from an open book.” Our staff is committed to providing our learners with a challenging educational program that instills in our students the desire to become productive citizens in this 21st century.

Teaching and learning are not acquired from rote memory or rote teaching, but it’s about applying teaching skills and strategies to solve real-world problems. Students must be challenged each day and must be able to experience the text through inquiry. Our students not only learn by doing but are given experiences to help them learn about new situations. Students in JCSD are afforded the opportunity to experience academics and the arts within their schools and with athletics through our partnership with YMCA, Boys and Girls Club and Agape Life Center afterschool.

We continuously encourage our parents to visit our school, we encourage our visitors to mentor in our schools and we encourage you to continue to do more….and then some…
