DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE

DJJ is responsible for providing custodial care and rehabilitation for the state’s children who are incarcerated, on probation or parole, or in community placement for a criminal or status offense. The goal at DJJ is to protect the public and reclaim juveniles through prevention, community programs, education, and rehabilitative services in the least restrictive environment possible. Coastal Empire Mental Health 
 

The Coastal Empire Mental Health Center provides emergency services, case management, outpatient counseling, and psychiatric treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and families in Allendale, Hampton, Beaufort, Colleton, and Jasper Counties. 

We offer a wide variety of evidence-based mental health treatment services for a broad range of problem areas to include:       

  • Anxiety

  • Attention Deficit Disorder

  • Behavioral Problems

  • Depression

  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)

  • Suicide Risk

  • Thought Disorders

  • Trauma

We Practice Evidence-Based Care

Our mental health center is committed to providing clinical interventions and programs that are empirically based and proven to produce positive results.  Below are some of the evidence-based practices we use daily.

The services we provide are intended to benefit families, children, and youth, as we assist and lead all in the right direction in their lives. We accomplish this by delivering friendly & accessible counseling, medical & skill-building services, through our multiple office locations as well as in schools.
