Our team has been busy engaging students in meaningful activities that promote unity, kindness, and healthy lifestyles.
The week kicked off on October 22 with Unity Day, a national observance dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Students and staff proudly wore orange shirts to stand together against bullying and to celebrate the power of unity within the school community.
Following Unity Day, we launched Red Ribbon Week on October 23, continuing through October 31. Students participated in a variety of engaging activities focused on goal setting, creativity, and education, including a door-decorating contest and discussions on the history and importance of Red Ribbon Week.
Red Ribbon Week, which began in 1985 to honor DEA Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, serves as a national campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of drug, tobacco, and alcohol use. The initiative encourages youth across the country to commit to a drug-free and violence-free lifestyle.
Through these events, students demonstrated leadership, school pride, and a growing understanding of the importance of making positive choices. The program continues to focus on creating a supportive environment where every student can learn, grow, and succeed.

A huge thank you to our community partners for donating their time and talent to support our students! Your generosity motivates our scholars to show up, learn, and grow every day. 🙌
📚 Why Attendance Matters (especially in early education):
🧠 Builds strong learning habits — Regular attendance helps children develop consistency, focus, and responsibility early on.
🤝 Supports social and emotional growth — Being present builds friendships and a sense of belonging in the classroom.
📈 Improves academic success — Research shows students who attend school regularly perform better in reading and math.
🎯 Sets the foundation for lifelong success — Good attendance habits in elementary school lead to better outcomes in middle and high school.
Let’s keep encouraging our students to show up every day — because every day counts! 💪✨
